Specializing Paintball Gear - The Paintball Sniper
As paintball gets more popular it gets more similar to war games or tactical role playing scenarios. This is why you should also start specifying your gear to fit the prospective role you want to play in your team. One of the most popular team roles in paintball is being a paintball sniper.
Customizing gear
Deciding to specialize in a certain assignment means you need to customize your equipment, make them fit the role you want to play. Paintball snipers should not carry the run of the mill assault markers and gear you should know what gear you should be carrying to be effective in your role.
Basic sniper gear:
- A paintball sniper rifle - paintball rifles are larger than your common assault marker and what it lacks in rapid shot it makes up for range. It is not designed to be used to go head to head its meant for you to find a spot and shoot at a distance.
- Paintball sniper scopes and sights -these are mountable scopes that you can place on your rifle to increase your accuracy. These are perfect to get far objects in between your cross hairs.
- A paintball pistol - a pistol works as your escape plan, since you rifle is no good in close quarters the pistol can help you escape or defend yourself when opponents get too close.
- Binoculars - a good pair of binoculars helps you scan the terrain for where your targets may be.
When buying paintball sniper gear, make sure to consider mobility and range, these are key factors to your success.
